OUR PROPHETESS

PROPHETESS THERESSA LEWIS

At the age of 10 years old, Theressa Jackson Lewis gave her life to the Lord under the leadership of Pastor Eddie Lee Thomas of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Katy, Texas.  She worked diligently in the youth department and served in leadership roles in the National Baptist Association.  At an early age she and other youth from Antioch would walk to visit the nursing home bringing music and songs to the elderly.  At the age of 18, she married Apostle Keith Lewis and began working alongside of her husband pastoring several churches bringing the good news of salvation to many.
She received the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues shortly after marriage under the leadership of her mother-in-law, Pastor Joan Lewis of Soul Prospering Ministry.  At the age of 28, she and her family joined Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Houston under the leadership of Bishop L.D. Leonard.  During that time she became part of the Intercessory Prayer Line Ministry under the leadership of Dorothy Leonard, First Lady.  Not knowing that God was preparing her for warfare and deliverance, she was faithful to the prayer ministry until God moved her family to Pastor, Sunshine Missionary Baptist in Houston.
At the age of 33, God began to show her through Fasting and Prayer how to break generational curses.  Out of breaking curses and seeing God destroy the plans of the enemy, a ministry was birthed, WED (Women Experiencing Deliverance).  This ministry has seen a countless number of marriages restored.  It has shown that Christian couples can have fun and still be saved.  Her mother, Catherine Jackson, encouraged her in the ministry.  Her mother’s last encouraging words before her home going were “Are you still preaching?, Keep on Preaching!”
